Stanford Scientists Develop a Battery for Electronic Paper Products

Who would want to use a clunky traditional battery ever again once they get their hands on these bendable paper batteries? Although they are being targeted to power paper products such as electronic newspapers, these pieces will surely be used for other purposes as well.

Developed by Stanford researchers, these bendable paper batteries work via carbon nanotubes coated with a film of lithium compound that is applied to both sides of a piece of paper. The paper inolved in these batteries is an electrode separator while the carbon tubes serve to collect them.
