Where the eyes may rest on the seating surface, the three wooden planks have been sculpted to take the form of a diverting hourglass form. The viewer's gaze is encouraged to find its way out of the center and towards the creatively assembled footings of the furnishing.
It was Nico Yektai's intention to build the structure like walls, comprising blocks of timber that overlap and stack to establish an organic rhythm and natural abstraction. The wood segments come together with V-shaped bases that mimic the branching shapes of tree roots and boughs.
