This Bell’s Whiskey Ad will Make You Believe Anything is Possible

This Bell’s Whisky television ad called 'The Reader' will restore your faith in the fact that family is one of the strongest bonds. Be careful, you may shed a tear at the end of this two minute ad. The video features an African man who is illiterate but is eager to learn how to read because his son has wrote a book. He enlists help from teachers and others around him.

We see him learning the alphabet and using Scrabble to enhance his readability.He starts off reading very simple texts like cereal boxes and newspapers before he chooses to take on novels. At the end of the advertisement we see him reunite with his song while holding his book. He tells him that he read his book and his son is overjoyed with emotion. They both enjoy a Bell’s Whisky together to celebrate.

This is such a wonderful way to advertise alcohol. I didn’t even think about the fact that it was a whisky ad because it plays like a short movie.
