Precisely a week before the 2008 Beijing Olympics kick off, a wonderful dance performance was performed in the infamous Tiananmen Square on August 1.

The Chinese dancers were dressed in traditional dress, and adorned with elaborate accessories, with faces made up in performance worthy shades. The graceful women turned the public landmark into a sea of vibrant colour in celebration of the upcoming games.

Hundreds of people, including many keen tourists, flocked to take in the event, building anticipation for the splendorous events to follow.
