Timber-Clad Bakery Ceilings

This Beijing Bakery is Inspired by Traditional Taiwanese Bread

With Wheat is a Beijing bakery that boasts a two-part interior concept that takes its inspirations from modern design themes and traditional Taiwanese bread. The space is heavy in its use of timber and its dizzying brick flooring.

Designed by Beijing-based Golucci International Design Studio, With Wheat combines natural materials with black steel that grounds the space. The store is characterized by the differently sized planks of wood suspended from varying levels from the ceiling, which creates an illusion that the space boasts higher ceilings than it actually does.

A true reflection of Taiwan baking culture in Beijing, With Wheat is defined by its attention to detail, like the enormous Nakajima bread cabinets located at the center of the space.
