Gravity Defying Homes

The Multilayered BE House Has a Glass Middle Level, Giving a Suspended Look

Designed by spaceworker, the gravity-defying BE house is out of this world. The boxy structure appears to have floors stacked on top each other, creating a geometrically appealing visual effect.

The layered house is located in Paredes, Portugal and has three different levels. While the home is made of a range of materials, the middle floor has a glass perimeter which enhances the mind-boggling visual aspect. Depending on your angle, the glass can make it look like the top layer is floating on air.

Each floor of the BE house was designed to serve a different function. For example, the bottom level houses a partially covered pool. This allows you to swim under the stairs if you wished, or swim even when it's raining.
