The Baygon Bug Spray Campaign Urges People to "Treat Them as They Treat You"

The Baygon Bug Spray ad campaign doesn't promote insects as a delicacy. If it did, the insects certainly would not look appetizing. Instead, it reads, "Treat them as they treat you." A common lesson learned in kindergarten, it encourages people to fight fire with fire. Of course, instead of biting back, which would probably be just as unpleasant as getting bitten or stung, people can use the Baygon Bug Spray.

Conceived and executed by ZEA BBDO, an ad agency based in Caracas, Venezuela, the Baygon Bug Spray ad campaign was art directed by Andrea Pulido and Daniela Bello with creative direction by Gerardo Pernía E and Nelson Jimenez. The close-up mouth images were shot by photographer Frank Beaufrand while the insects were illustrated in by Antonio Aponte.
