The Batwing Offers Shelter to Public Transit Passengers in the Rain

Moving from the bus shelter and into the shuttle on a rainy day, passengers are almost guaranteed to get a bit wet. The Batwing makes your public transportation experience a little less uncomfortable by offering you a helpful umbrella as you board.

This 2013 Red Dot Design Award winning concept might be simple, but it's certainly practical and would undoubtedly go very much appreciated by all riders. This is an attachment that can be installed above the entrance of the bus, keeping compact and closed until it's needed. During a downpour, the driver can switch on and sync the Batwing up with the movement of the door. Every time a stop is reached, the Batwing would open in time, fanning wide to create a canopy for people as they collapse their own umbrellas.
