Michael Marriott’s Kioskö Bar is Made Out of Recycled Objects

A thought-provoking and ambitious bar installation is part of this year's Harewood Biennial—an event that spotlights 16 artists, designers, and makers. In 2022, the biennial presents a range of creative projects that spotlight a "radical act" of craftsmanship. British designer Michael Marriott responded to the call with Kioskö—a bar installation that is made only with found objects and recycled materials.

The structure features objects like recycled stereos, bottle creates, found fridges, and more. Kioskö presents a very creative vision—from the lampshades made out of buckets to bar stools made out of crates. Viewers may lose themselves in the wonder that this interesting bar installation provokes, The words 'Kioskö' are present at the top of the makeshift beach shack. The designer formed this feature by reusing estate-agent placards.
