Psychedelic Currency Designs

This Multi-Colored Banknote was Created by Jeremy Deller

Artist Jeremy Deller designed a limited-edition banknote for the Brixton Pound. This currency has been transformed into a psychedelic piece of money that looks more like a Monopoly game piece than real cash.

This unique banknote is decorated with an eye-catching rainbow design, but reveals an intricate line pattern when examined closely. Its exquisite line pattern is embossed across the entire bill -- a banknote that also features a character resembling Buddha.

On the reverse side of the bill, there is a quote from philosopher Karl Marx's book 'Capital.' The quote says that "capital is money, capital is commodities... by virtue of it being value, it has acquired the occult ability to add value to itself. It brings forth living offspring, or, at the least, lays golden eggs."
