Local architecture and design studio TACHA_Design has created a house called the Baan Yo Yen House located in Nonthaburi, Thailand. Inspired by traditional courtyard homes, the exterior facade features a steel frame with timber accenting and concrete walls.
The two-storey dwelling features 7-meter high glass doors that open up into the central courtyard of the home. While the living spaces are arranged according to the courtyard and the large tree, the extra skylight provides additional sunlight to flow into the space.
The house was also inspired by connecting the individual with nature, and the architect facilitates organic ventilation by pulling in cool air from the base, allowing for warmer air to escape.
