'It Is A Dream In Colours' By Yang Du

Fashionable art, or arty fashion?

These fabulously weird, award-winning outfits blur the borders between art and fashion. Chinese designer Yang Du is described as a surrealist fashion creator and already has a cult following in Japan and in her homeland of China.

Yang Du graduated from the UK fashion institution, Central St Martin's, and recently won the esteemed Colin Barnes Student Artist of the Year award. Yang will be doing a series of UK and Scottish exhibitions as well as a New York touring exhibition.

I love these oversized animal-inspired costumes. Check out the basket ball playing horse and the sad elephant on the steps. Now that is fashion art!
