Alternative Agave Spirits

Revel Spirits' Launched 'Avila' as a New Category of Distilled Liquor

Revel Spirits launched Revel as a new brand and with it, a new category of distilled liquor by the name of Avila.

Avila is made with the same 100% blue weber agave that goes into the making of tequila, but boasts a different name as it does not come from the over-farmed Tequila region of Mexico. The first Avila is being introduced as an ultra-premium agave spirit, made with roasted and steamed piñas, in three varieties: Blanco, Reposado and Añejo.

Revel's Avila is set to fill a need in the market as an alternative to tequila, especially during the growing shortage of the spirit. Already, Revel Avila has won silver and bronze at the 2018 San Francisco World Spirits Competition for its innovative new expressions.
