ModiFace's Augmented Reality Mirror Debuted at CES 2014

Facial-recognition company ModiFace introduced its 3D Augmented Reality Makeup and Anti-Aging Mirror at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show, which is an incredible application that simulates the application of makeup without a user having to take a photo.

The technology consists of a kiosk with a touchscreen monitor, camera and app that can be accessed through phones and tablets. The Augmented Reality Mirror works in real-time, showing the effects of products like blush, eyeshadow and anti-aging creams on the skin. The screen is split into two parts, which makes the before and after quite noticeable, even from different angles.

ModiFace CEO Parham Aarab notes that the mirror has the potential to "increase the counter and booth traffic for skin-care brands by 120%."
