Piled Branch-Like Lamps

The Asterix Light by Chopstick & Kilt is Adaptable and Modular

The Asterix Light may appear to be a chaotic mess, but it is only as chaotic as one wants it to be. The configuration that was put on display during the London Design Festival was in actuality comprised of more than one Asterix Light. By piling a few on top of each other, the display showed just how versatile and modular the light fixture can be.

Designed by Chopstick & Kilt, the Asterix Light was specifically part of the Common Wealth exhibition of young Australian designers at the Habitat store in Chelsea. According to the designers, the Asterix Light "is a multiple, a repeat, a set of identical forms that can be arranged or deconstructed, according to use." On its own, it takes on a branch-like aesthetic that allows it to interconnect with its brothers easily.
