Assassins Creed Discovery Mode Teaches Players Egyptian History

The Assassins Creed Discovery Mode will take a non-violent approach to the game and instead focus on education. The franchise has always been known for rendering fantastic historical settings, but the combat mechanics and action gameplay often stops players from truly exploring the world. The Discovery Mode is hoping to change this by giving players the chance to explore historic cities in the game, and comes complete with guided tours to provide users with more historical background.

Assassins Creed Discovery Mode will be released as part of an update for Assassins's Creed Origins and will completely free for anyone who already owns the game. For those who do not own a copy of the game, this mode will be available for $20. The Discovery Mode feature will give players the chance to learn about the ancient Egyptian setting of the game and will cover mummies, cultivation, the Library of Alexandria and much more. The curated tours offered in this mode will be done by historians and Egypt experts.
