ArtsyDog is a website devoted to expanding the successful Etsy model to include hand-crafted pet products and my dog is already excited!
Managed by Sheila Bredin, a Canadian entrepreneur and pet-lover, ArtsyDog connects talented artisans, sculptors and inventors with loveable dogs (at least, their owners). You'll find a huge selection of paintings, clothing, toys and edibles in the ArtsyDog marketplace ready and awaiting your pampered poodles.
But dogs aren't the only winners in this story -- you may not know it, but there's always an abundance of devoted animal lovers who happen to be skilled craftspeople. Thanks to the social marketplace of ArtsyDog, there is an effective meeting place where cash, crafts and canines can finally meet.
To top it all off, a percentage of the website's sales will be forwarded to one of two animal charity organizations: Kiva or the Farley Foundation.
