The Art Sauna Opens in the Gösta Serlachius Museum

Finland's Gösta Serlachius Museum of Contemporary Art gets a new extension that is designed by Mendoza Partida and BAX Studio in the form of the new Art Sauna. It creates an experience for visitors that highlights art, architecture, and landscapes. The building is found in the south section of the park and this was chosen due to its close proximity to the water and beautiful views of the lake.

The two designers talk about the latest addition to the space, explaining that "Serlachius Foundation is known for its support of Finnish art and culture. Sauna is a very important element in Finnish culture and the new Art Sauna would be a continuation of the art journey, now on a very domestic, and intimate scale."
