The Art House by Spaces Architects Ka Fuse Bespoke Interiors with Sculptures

Spaces Architects Ka has completed The Art House, a 9,000-square-foot family residence in New Delhi designed around custom artwork, furniture, and lighting. Created for a client seeking a highly individualized home, the four-bedroom residence departs from conventional residential planning through fluid forms and curved geometries that extend across both the interior and exterior. The six-level house unfolds gradually through a sequence of distinct spaces. Bespoke artworks developed specifically for the project informed the architectural language, helping establish a consistent relationship between art and architecture.

The residence includes a double-height basement lounge, bar, dining areas, multiple bedrooms, verandahs, terraces, and entertainment spaces. Curved niches, built-in furniture, custom lighting, and commissioned artworks appear throughout the interiors, while a double-height installation combines artisan-made artwork with a sculptural light by Emanate Home. Upper levels feature a party lounge with a jacuzzi beneath a tensile fabric ceiling installation created with Divinam Structuray, while a bright orange spiral staircase connects the rooftop terraces.

Trend Themes

  1. Bespoke Integrated Design — A seamless fusion of commissioned artworks, custom furniture, and architecture creates opportunities for residences to be conceived as unified artistic ecosystems rather than assemblies of separate components.
  2. Sculptural Lighting as Feature — Statement lighting that doubles as large-scale sculpture positions illumination as a primary design element influencing spatial perception and emotional ambience.
  3. Fluid Form Residential Planning — Curved geometries and nonorthogonal circulation redefine domestic spatial hierarchies, enabling experiential sequences and multifunctional zones within compact footprints.

Industry Implications

  1. Luxury Residential Architecture — High-end homebuilders and architects are presented with models for delivering deeply personalized residences where bespoke art and structural design are interdependent value drivers.
  2. Furniture and Lighting Manufacturing — Manufacturers capable of producing artisan-crafted, site-specific pieces may find demand for hybrid objects that bridge functional furnishing and commissioned artwork.
  3. Art Commissioning and Curation — Curatorial services that coordinate artists, makers, and architects can enable integrated cultural programming within private developments, elevating property differentiation.
