Sony's AROMASTIC Acts Leverages Fragrance as a "Mood Changer"

The AROMASTIC by Sony is an all-new portable personal scent diffuser that uses scent in order to alter mood.

The black and white devices are being introduced as part of Sony's First Flight project, which introduces a series of design-centric products. The aromatic device is designed to release a spray of fragrance from Neal’s Yard Remedies when pressed, making it possible for a person to elevate their mood when they feel as though they need a refreshing and uplifting change. Scents available include ones that help people switch from "on to off," reset, relax or sharpen the senses and boost creativity.

Now more than ever, scents are being used as a tool to tap into the primitive limbic system and create change on a deeper level of the body.
