Ari Fararooy is a photographer based in Los Angeles, California, how has decided to turn the selfie on its head. He has created a series of surreal self-portraits using a tripod, mirrors, a self timer and ‘a few digital manipulations.' Captured in the middle of the Joshua Tree National Park, the images are even more captivating.

Inspired after attending Burning Man in 2014, Ari Fararooy says, "The goal was to experiment with reflections and explore the various ways I could creatively photograph myself."
