AR Amenity Kits

Emirates Designed an Augmented Reality Amenity Kit That Unlocks Immersive Content

Airline Emirates has designed an AR amenity kit that unlocks immersive content on smartphones and tablets.

The interactive amenity kit will be available in Economy Class and will provide a more comfortable and unique travel experience. The Neoprene amenity kits come in six designs to represent the six regions that Emirates travels to -- Australasia, Latin America, Middle East, Africa, Europe and the Far East. The designs and colors were inspired by the regions, such as the design for the amenity kit on flights to the Middle East, which features Arabic calligraphy.

To access the AR content, travelers simply need to download the Blippar app and scan the bags on the app. Travelers will then unlock various entertainment content, like music, travel tips and games that is refreshed every six months.
