The Apple AirPods Max headphones are being updated by the brand to give the high-end audio accessory additional capabilities in the form of ultra-low latency audio and more. The headphones will receive 24-bit, 48 kHz lossless audio support that will also extend to the Personalized Spatial Audio feature for music that's more sonically accurate, uncompressed and immersive than ever. The features can be unlocked when connecting the headphones to the audio source via a USB-C connection and will offer Apple Music subscribers with access to more than 100-million songs in lossless audio.
The Apple AirPods Max headphones will also provide ultra-low latency audio performance, which will come as welcome news to gamers. The headphone update will be available to users for free via a firmware update this April.
