Hybrid Work Protest Groups

Apple Employees Protest the Company's Return to Office Strategy

Back in April, Apple employees in the United States began finally returning to their offices, following a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic and its corresponding lockdowns. Though the company began implementing a hybrid work model, which required Apple workers to go into the office once per week, a group of employees banded together to protest the decision. They called themselves 'Apple Together.'

More specifically, Apple Together wrote a letter addressed to Apple's executive team, in which they argued that Apple's new hybrid work model did "not recognize flexible work and is only driven by fear." What's more, the letter argued that in-office collaboration was simply not necessary for the majority of roles within the company and that implementing a three-day scheme, which the company was eventually building towards, would result in "almost no flexibility at all."
