The feature works by allowing users to identify the people detected by their Ring camera, which will be stored in a catalog with up to 50 entries. The app will then use this data to automatically detect when the person is present and provide the administrator with a personalized notification to let them know exactly who is at the door.
Amazon Ring Familiar Faces is disabled by default and needs to be activated within the Ring app settings to get started. The feature will also utilize the data collected within the app's timeline and Event History sections.
