The Amazon Pharmacy same-day delivery service is being expanded to thousands of US cities as part of the brand's initiative to reach more customers than ever with its speedy deliveries. The expansion will see the brand offering same-day delivery to nearly 4,500 cities and towns, which will come as welcome news to patients seeking out an easier way to receive their prescriptions. The service introduces newly served states including Idaho and Massachusetts, and could follow suit with additional expansions in the near-future.
Vice President of Amazon Pharmacy John Love spoke on the expansion of the same-day delivery service saying, "Patients shouldn’t have to choose between speed, cost, and convenience when it comes to their medication, regardless of where they live. By combining our pharmacy expertise with our logistics network, we’re removing critical barriers and helping patients start treatment faster—setting a new standard for accessible, digital-forward pharmacy care."
