Muted Tonal Contemporary Footwear

Junya Watanabe and New Balance Launch a Set of AM574 Sneakers

New Balance works in collaboration with Junya Watanabe on a set of the AM574 sneaker model for the Spring 2021 season. The Japanese designer and Boston-based sportswear label join forces once again, and this time around, the focus is on neutral tones.

The new colorways are casual and exude a contemporary energy for the warmer season this year. The silhouette is constructed from two materials starting with a smooth suede that makes up the overlays. There is also mesh for breathability at the ankle collars and toe boxes. Some leather comes into the shoe around the ankle by the heel area. It is then rounded out with some branding details that can be seen on the tongue, the heels, and the rear molds.
