Ice-Like Reworked Sneakers

Extra Butter Gave the adidas AlphaBOUNCE Beyond Shoes an Icy Makeover

adidas consulted Extra Butter for its knowledge of street culture in its exclusive new AlphaBOUNCE Beyond colorway. The new sneakers draw inspiration from VO2 Max training, which references the running heritage of the shoe. The classic silhouette is reworked to sustain the performance elements of the shoe, while giving it a unique makeover.

The new AlphaBOUNCE Beyond shoes have a speckled white midsole and an upper crafted from Seamless Forgedmesh. The outsoles are constructed from a grippy Continental Rubber and have a sock-imitating cushion fit for ultimate comfort. The shape of the fit is meant to give stability and encourage multi-directional movement. On the captivating exterior, the new version deviates from the relief patterning it usually takes on and instead has plastic welds in an icy Aero Blue. The icy blue coats the tongue, the lace guard and the heel counter as well.
