Alexey Menschikov Works with Broken Street Crevaces

Artist Alexey Menschikov has taken to the streets to produce his series of metropolitan pieces of work. He has deemed cracked concrete as his preferred medium in his series here as he superimposed various images on to the implicated streets.

Menschikov's experiments with concrete are of mass appeal for young children. Superimposed on to these cracks are his images of birds, Spongebob Square Pants, leaves and fines. As these pieces are quite playful, they add a great deal of character and color to the otherwise decrepit spots. And while the Russian-based designer focused on the ground in this series, he has also received a great deal of praise for his photography, distinguishing him as a man who wears many hats.
