Alexa Podcasts is now available to Alexa+ customers in the United States, giving subscribers the ability to generate episodes on demand, on virtually any topic, in minutes. Amazon introduced Alexa Podcasts as a new way for members to discover, learn and turn their curiosity into engaging content without requiring documents or preparation on the user's behalf.
In partnership with leading news publications, including TIME, Business Insider, USA Today, and over 200 local newspapers from across the United States, Amazon is making it easier for people to turn limitless content into digestible audio lessons. To create custom audio content, Alexa+ subscribers can tell Alexa what they're interested in, and they can specify the length and direction before Alexa creates a recording with AI-generated host voices. Once an AI-generated podcast episode is ready, a user is notified on their Echo Show device and Alexa app.
