The Alexa Meade Milk Art is a Captivating Technique Experiment

The Alexa Meade milk art experiments with different textures and painting techniques using the white calcium liquid as a base.

Meade used performance artist Sheila Vand as her model. She was slathered with strokes of color and laid peacefully in a blown up plastic pool filled with milk. The effect obtained was that Vand would sink into the atmosphere around her, blending with the milky surface and transforming into a living painting. Background and subject becomes one, the swatches of paint that outline Vand's body cause her to stand out against the fluid, but the fluid also encroaches on her, slowly stripping the color away from her.

The Alexa Meade milk art is riveting and unlike any other human body paint piece out there. The piece is titled 'Milk: what will you make of me?'
