This advertising campaign from United Airlines hopes to debunk the airport travel myth that it is faster for New Yorkers to get to JFK airport than Newark.

In 2015, United Airlines stopped flying out of JFK airport. Unfortunately for United, many New Yorkers have the misconception that it is faster to get to JFK than Newark. To help debunk this airport travel myth, United placed billboards that post real-time travel times on the roof of taxis. Currently, there are 125 taxis driving around New York with these billboards on top of them. Each has a GPS unit that updates the estimated time based on location and traffic conditions.

By challenging this myth, United may be able to regain ground it has lost by dissolving its relationship with JFK.
