Insurance company Allianz Australia created an adult swim club that's specifically geared toward adults who never learned how to swim. Adults who never learned how to swim are missing out on a valuable life skill that could be potentially life-saving, as well as recreation, fitness and social opportunities. The Allianz Swim Club is poised to help adults learn to swim and gain confidence in the water.
According to a study from Allianz Australia, 93% of residents believe swimming is an integral part of their lives, but almost 60% of adults either can’t swim or desire greater confidence in the water.
This free learn-to-swim program for adults is operating with AUSTSWIM and Masters Swimming Australia, and as of October 2023, it will operate across more than a dozen pools in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, Western Australia, and South Australia.
