While there are lots of wearable technology out there intended to monitor vital signs, this activity tracker app measures breath and your state of mind as well. Spire is a wearable device that helps you manage your stress level at work with a mobile app and accompanying stone. Instead of tracking your fitness when you're on the move, Spire tracks your activity when you're sitting at your desk.

Based on your respiration movement, Spire can measure your stress levels and help you focus or relax. Founder Neema Moraveji started developing the device as a PhD student at Stanford University to "give people power and awareness over their state of mind." The most tangible way to measure this, he found, was through breathing patterns. While the activity tracker app also looks at things like how many steps you take, it has longer term health goals.
