Active Micro Technologies released its newest development to prevent fungal growth within a closed container that houses a product. The AMTicide VAF aims to prevent or inhibit fungal growth, thereby providing an alternative to typical preservatives.
AMTicide VAF is a co-ferment that claims to eliminate the need for conventional preservatives. The component includes propanediol and bacillus ferment as well as saccharomyces ferment filtrate. This formula produces non-volatile and volatile secondary metabolites that function as antifungal activity. Moreover, Saccharomyces is a probiotic strain of yeast, which interacts with other microorganisms, making it an ideal ingredient to include in contained products. The volatile organic metabolites use selective filtration techniques to deliver a high-potency volatile agent through isolation and extraction. The result is moisture delivery and antifungal activities.
