It is easy for some architectural spaces to be overlooked, parking lots being one of them, but the 72DP Mural project shows the impact a beautifully designed interior can have on people. This is especially the case for areas that people visit on a daily basis but never pay much heed to.
In place of drab and cold concrete floors, walls and ceilings, the 72DP Mural transforms the parking lot into a gigantic kaleidoscope. Almost every surface of the space has been painted over in vibrant colors of orange, yellow and more. Designed by Craig Redman and Karl Maier, a design duo based in Sydney and New York, the 72DP Mural is fit for an art gallery. Maier says, "The resulting design is a dynamic mix of overlapping geometric forms that mirror and respond to the angularity of the architecture."
