Vans works in collaboration with C2H4 on a new project entitled 'Enlightened Enlightenment' also recognized as '50/50 Enlighten.' The joint project is showcased at the Vans Vault store in Shanghai and takes on a dramatic theme marked with bronze tonal details for a cyberpunk reference. The installation is bold and spotlights iterations of the classic Old Skool sneaker and the Style 36 sneaker.
The Old Skool shoe is complete in distressed details throughout the upper at the sidewalls and the collars. There is also an engraved metal plate at the heel counter that references C2H4 before rounded out with cyberpunk scuff marks at the midsole. The Style 36 sneaker is cleaner with smooth leather materials paneling through and a white sidestripe woven on.
