MakerBot Now Offers a Printable 3D Toy of Sesame Street's 'Snuffy'

Back in January, the MakerBot's Digital Shop was revealed at CES and now, MakerBot has released a printable 3D toy version of Snuffleupagus as part of its first ever licensing agreement with Sesame Street.

The Mr. Snffuleupagus or "Snuffy" toy is available for $1.29 and can be printed in about three hours, but the files are only compatible with the MakerBot's Replicator 2 and Fifth Generation Replicator.

Since MakerBot CEO Bre Pettis used to work for Jim Henson's Creature Shop, it's hardly surprising that a Sesame Street toy was one of the first toys licensed by the 3D print shop. When the MakerBot's Digital Shop was first announced, the premise was that you could print individual toys for $1 and a collection for $10 and considering that Sesame Street is full of fun Muppets, Snuffy is probably just the first to be available through MakerBot.
