Ohne Titel Explores 3D Printing Fashion with Shapeways

Of the many up-and-coming designers to showcase their Fall/Winter 2016 projects at New York Fashion Week, one particularly intriguing collection comes from Ohne Titel and explores 3D printing fashion.

The Ohne Titel collection takes inspiration from the delicate textures and colors of moth wings. Many of the garments featured mixed materials and fabrication techniques, including knitting, weaving and 3D-printing. When the fabric of the garments is examined up close, it resembles the many links in a chainmail armor, which leaves space for embellishments to be added on top. For the creation of the dress and vest in the collection, 3D printing service Shapeways was consulted in order to bring the concepts to life on the runway.

Alexis Walsh and threeASFOUR were also among those who showcased their visions with 3D printing fashion at NYFW.
