Zuuk Tea Packaging Takes Aesthetic Inspiration from Buildings

Many consumers outside of creative fields don't recognize how much even opposing artistic scales have in common. Zuuk Tea packaging was undertaken as an assignment to demonstrate that concepts from divergent design disciplines can come together quite beautifully.

Here, student Shen Yeqin took her inspiration from Dutch architect Rene van Zuuk, who she admires for his solid-looking yet lightweight approach to contemporary construction. Employing the same subtle curves and the sturdy grounded forms, this young creative developed a lovely box for the storage of loose leaf teas.

It seems as though a durable white plastic casing makes up the bulk of the container, while an assortment of molded bamboo wood lids might be applied according to the color of the infusion inside. And just like a building, Zuuk Tea packaging can welcome new contents once the previous are gone.
