Genitalia-Mimicking Food Photos

The 'Zu Nah' Photo Series Features Food That Resembles Vaginas

Peter Kaaden is a German photographer with an oddly creative mind; for his photo series Zu Nah -- which translates to 'too close' in German -- Kaaden captured photographs of foods that oddly resemble vaginas.

You wouldn't think it would be possible to depict papayas and ham sandwiches to be naughty, but you'd be wrong. Peter Kaaden's Zu Nah photo series proves that a wide variety of foods -- and who knows what else -- can be depicted to resemble the female genitalia.

It also shows how seemingly banal and boring objects can become provocative if you just adopt the right perspective. Interestingly, Kaaden declines to reveal too much about the inspiration behind his photo series, letting the images do the talking. And talk, they do.

The Zu Nah photo series is part of the 2014 Vice Magazine photo issue.
