The Happy Planet paper-made universe from Zim and Zou will instill viewers with a sense of childlike wonder and awe. The amazingly detailed pieces were created by the French design team who most recently created a colored parrot from paper and leather cut-offs for luxury clothing brand Hermes.
Happy Planet is a 32-second stop-motion animation film and greetings card which was commissioned by IBM. In Zim and Zou’s ‘Happy Planet’ video, a colorful globe orbits as a tiny train runs around it, a rocket shoots off into space and a hot air balloon floats past; the short clip ends with a paper plane pulling a banner message behind it which read: "A smarter planet is a happy planet." The public can create their own personalized greetings card by visiting IBM’s website.
