Sensory 3D Lettering

Zigor Samaniego's 3D Typography Plays with Unique Textures

Zigor Samaniego is a Spanish freelance 3D illustrator whose creations are so detailed and lifelike that the textures in them awaken your sense of touch. He plays with angles and various contrived materials for pieces that are incredibly varied and drive different messages. A grotesque letter gains the attributes of mushy sweating flesh with his techniques -- with the letter looking to melt into the ground and sporting just the right amount of random hairs.

Another of Zigor Samaniego's pieces shows a letter flying through an urban setting, with a number of different textures exposed through a layering effect that adds to its dimensions. Other examples include florescent light bulbs made out of what looks to be balloon letters and milk splashing up in a unique form of typography.
