Colossal Oversized Cravats

Zach Barnhorst Made the World's Biggest Bow-Tie

At a festival in San Diego, Zach Barnhorst wore 250 yards of black and white polka-dot fabric which became the world’s biggest bow-tie. Five people had to assemble it in 4 and 1/2 minutes. The bow-tie was 7 feet tall and 15 feet wide and is expected to set the Guinness World Record.

Zach runs the ZB Savoy bow-tie company by day and plays in a band by night. His giant bow-tie was created to celebrate the launch of his company’s new spring line. The musician and long-time bow-tie lover said he’s adored the men’s accessory since grade school. He would wear them to make himself stand out from the other wannabe musical performers.

"…they might not remember my name but they could tell the manager to bring back the guy in the bow tie," says Barnhorst. And people will definitely remember his bow-tie now.
