Canadian inventor Yvon Martel has invented an electric sled called the MTT-136 that uses tank tread-like technology to move. The abbreviation MTT is short for 'My Track Technology', a unique track technology developed by Martel.
The sled can hit speeds of up to 40 km/h on open ground and can travel without charge for anywhere between 45 and 220 kilometers. Depending on the kind of battery, the charging time can be anywhere between 15 minutes and eight hours.
The MTT-136 has a low center of gravity and accessible electric torque which, along with its 345 centimeter tank tread system, makes the vehicle incredibly versatile. It is capable of pulling various kinds of hauling and passenger attachments. It can carry passengers and materials through snow, mud and grass with ease.
Yvon Martel also designed the MTT-136 in such a way that it can be used to push vehicles, clear logs, move snow and take its rider into fallen brush inaccessible to snowmobiles and ATVs.
