Yukino Ohmura Uses Stickers to Recreate Tokyo at Night

In what could certainly be called a love letter to Tokyo, artist Yukino Ohmura captures the beautiful nightscapes of Tokyo, Japan with the aid of acrylic and stickers.

From a distance, Yukino Ohmura's work seems to be either taken from photographs or the result of detailed brushwork. Instead, Ohmura takes stickers, the kind one would get at any stationary store for office work, and uses them to create the effect of Tokyo areas seen at night. It is only upon closer inspection that we can see that the dazzling lights we are looking at, are in fact small circular stickers.

The difficulty in accepting that the lights we're seeing are in fact stickers, is a testament Yukino Ohmura's skill, passion and dedication.
