Liverpool FC Launched a YouTube Membership with Exclusive Content

Liverpool FC will become the first major sports team to offer a YouTube membership. The YouTube membership will allow users to access exclusive content as well as other perks, and it will cost $1.29 per month. Drew Crisp, the senior vice president of digital media and marketing for Liverpool, spoke about the subscription service, "With the YouTube memberships launch, we are giving fans a more flexible opportunity to access premium content, while also helping us to serve them our award-winning videos on the platform they love."

Subscribers will be able to access four shows that are produced weekly, as well as up to date game reactions, and behind the scenes content. The subscription service launches a new avenue for fans to access more content from the team they follow. If the service is successful more sports organizations could launch similar services in the future.
