Animalistic Cone Lighting

The Yorky Lamp by Hlynur Atlason is as Cute as a Yorkie Puppy

It is hard to say whether or not the Yorky Lamp was inspired by a Yorkie dog even though the animalistic qualities all point to yes. The dispute lies in the fact that aside from the adorable leg-like base of the Yorky Lamp, it has a cone shape that is decidedly not doggish. Of course, it could look like a Yorkie has trapped himself in a cone of some sort.

Designed by New York-based industrial designer Hlynur Atlason in collaboration with Los Angeles based design company Artecnica, the Yorky Lamp is very versatile. It can sit down on its 'hind legs,' tip over to the side or even be mounted on the wall as if it were climbing it somehow.
