Schott's Yoga for Musicians Classes Help Pianists Perform Better

As a publisher of classical and contemporary music, Schott is now releasing something other than music with a new class centered around yoga for musicians. The Piano-Yoga class boasts a proud blend of techniques from the Russian School of Piano Playing, as well as philosophies from the east. Schott's approach is a holistic one that finds that when a musician's physical, psychological and energetic states are in tune, they are better able to learn and perform.

The Piano-Yoga Club was launched by renowned concert pianist and composer, GéNIA, and runs inside Schott Music every first Wednesday of the month.

As far as some of the activities to be expected by those in attendance, musicians can expect to take part in lessons, Q&A sessions and learn valuable tips like overcoming stage fright with calmness.
