New Yahoo Email Domains

YMail and RocketMail

Yahoo knows you're frustrated with the unavailability of email user names which is why, as of tomorrow, they'll be offering Ymail and Rocketmail.

Ymail.com and Rocketmail.com give people have a fresh opportunity to register the more basic names they may not have been able to get with more popular email providers, including Yahoo.com which already had 260 million email users at time of new domain launches. Names were getting so complicated, people were left tagging on tons of numbers and mumbo jumbo to ensure a unique user name.

The new domains just launched, but the good names are bound to be snatched fast. Bianca@ymail.com and bianca@rocketmail.com were both unavailable already, but it didn't take much to find an awesome name that did work.

Once signed up, I was pleasantly surprised at the design and layout of Yahoo! Mail. While Google's gmail prides itself on simplicity, Yahoo! gives its users the option to severely customize their email's home.

Will the name domains boost Yahoo! mail use even more? We'll have to wait and see...
